The applicant should apply in accordance with the following requirements – non-compliance with these requirements will result in exclusion of the application:

• At the time of application, the applicant must reside and perform the PhD programme in one
  of the countries listed in Annex 1 (see Call Announcement).
• Expenses will only be covered for travel from and to countries listed in Annex 1 (see Call Announcement).
• The applicant must have officially started the PhD programme at the time of application (confirmation is mandatory, see Call Announcement).
• The applicant must not have finished the PhD final examination (PhD thesis defence) before the date of the GEH Summer School 2025 (confirmation is mandatory, see Call Announcement).
• The applicant’s PhD project must be in the remit of the topics of the GEH Summer School (see Call Announcement).
